RJ11 Connection

    Hi,

I am looking for some assistance on how to wire an RJ11 connection. I have connected the 6 wires to the 6 pins on the RJ11 faceplate. I followed a diagram I downloaded from the web. I wired it up correctly (I think) at least it matches the diagram.

The working connection in the house is provided by eircom and uses only four wires (it doesn't use the white/green and the green/white wire).

    Any suggestions????

    Thanks,

    J.

    RJ11 is a 4 pin phone plug
    RJ12 has 6 pins...

The only two pins 'live' are the centre two so trace the wires back to the middle pins are you'll be sorted
