    Capture those treasured, unrepeatable moments with this all-in-one, ultra-clever, ultra-versatile MPEG 4 video camera/digital camera/internet camera/MP3 player/voice recorder.

You get 'real photo' 3.0 megapixel quality (2,048 x 1,532 pixels)
    4 x digital zoom
2" fold out and rotatable colour LCD for direct image viewing
Includes four rechargeable batteries and charger
    Expandable SD card slot
    CMOS technology
    MP3 player
VGA playback - 25 frames per second
    Internal 64Mb memory
    Headphones
    USB and TV cable
Includes four rechargeable batteries and charger
    Picture editing and DVD software
    Webcam function

Anyone know how good or otherwise this is? Do the videos have sound and how slow the camera is between taking pictures etc?

I can't speak for this model exactly, but even my cruddy digital camera (that has a "video-camera" mode) can capture audio, so I'd say this one probably does too.
VGA playback - 25 frames per second
    Bleh?
Do they mean VGA as in 640x480? or VGA as in "plays on your computer"?
I'd be worried about crap quality video... video captured by a crap CCD then compressed to death so it fits on a memory card.
Normal video cameras capture at PAL resolution (720x576) and don't use mpeg compression. (and hence need a lot more storage space, like that of a tape)
I've seen video footage from similar devices and I wasn't impressed.
The bottom line is don't expect real PAL Video-Camera quality from something that boasts "Internal 64Mb memory", footage of any decent quality needs gigs of storage, mpeg4 compression or not.

Again I've no experience with this specific model, I'm just talking about these kind of devices in general... look at some reviews, get the low-down... if you're thinking of buying, at least go into this knowing realistically what picture quality to expect so you won't be dissapointed when you get it home.

Looks kinda like some of the mustek jobbies and im sure has all the same componants...only one of these cheap Mpeg4 "camcorders" worth talkiing about is the mustek DV5500 (only one with optical zoom and built in light too) .. and even that aint great (I bought a real DV cam for the same money)

.. photo quality is fairly crap indoors too outdoors its acceptable by 2 yrs ago standards.. but you get what you pay for.

... i'v seen a few video samples people have taken with the mustek 4000 around on the net so best to do a search ans see if it does what you want.

oh yeah also believe that 25FPS is restricted to 320x240 and 10 - 15FPS for 640x480.. as with all the other similar cameras.

Man, that's awfull... I feel sickened that they're marketing this as a "Camcorder", it seems so dishonest, especially since they've made it look so much like a $1000 mini-dv cam.
