Why can't TG4 benefit from widescreen broadcasting?

RTE 1 and 2 have gone widescreen and I am suitably impressed at how they are implementing it. But, why isn't TG4 now broadcasting material in widescreen?. I'm sure a few of their programs could be broadcast in the format such as "Cold Case" and movies. Is it not possible for them to do?.

i'm sure they can change if they decided to, just like TV3 can. maybe they have it pencilled in for the near future like TV3 do
