Updating the stock pick-ups on my Squire Double-Fat Strat in the next few days and wondering what to get. I'm buying off eBay and am looking @ things like :

    Ibanez V7 + V8 Humbuckers
Fender - Powered by Lace Humbucker
Fender Lace Red + Silve (Single Coils)

My budget is fairly low... What would you reccomend out of those three, or something under the e70 mark (2nd Hand).

Some DiMarzio's would go down well.

    Great site feylya, cheers!

Just wondering would these pickups :

be of much use on this guitar:

It's the mid-80s Les Paul copy that was on sale on boards a month or two ago that I bough. I'm in the process of replacing the pots and maybe the bridge and was wondering would replacing the pickups with stock Gibson ones make a good bit of difference?

Its a good help to upgrade the stuff alrite. The stock gibson pick ups are sweet I love my ones anyway.

For the strat I've got a SD SH-4 and 59' in my strat and I love the tone out of it. Its class....

Budget has been increased a bit (birthday tomorrow :D) so I'm definitely going to get those gibson humbuckers (les paul), a duncan humbucker and the red/silver lace humbucker (for the strat). I'm also considering getting either an official tune-o-matic bridge and/or official gibson tuning knobs - would these make much difference to the sound or add much to the resale value of the guitar?

Personally I'd get a TOM and Sperzel locking tuners.

Guitar is lovely and the case and amp are pretty damn nice as well. Only thing is that with such a nice guitar I'd like to make the most of it. Pickups are $99+shipping for the pair. Set of Gibson Tuners for $45+shipping.
    These Tuners :

135+shipping? I think I'll definitely go for it

  • gold? don't like it, don't mix the gold and chrome hardware. not the road you want to go down, but defnitely get those Kluxon tuners.

P.s i wanted that case soo bad!

jimi. id say you should go into musician inc. and ask for their advice before you shell out.
