Acoustic Modes on Seagate ST3200082A

    Hi

Got this drive with my new HP PC last september, however the drive is incredibly loud when it is writing to the disk. I remember I had a Hitachi 40GB drive about 2 years and you can adjust the acoustic level on it - when it was set to performance it was louder than the Seagate but then it was put to Quiet Seek, you couldn't even hear it in a quiet room.

How do you adjust the Acoustic Levels on the Seagate drive? I tried downloading Seatools from their website - however this only allowed me perform tests on it and there was no mention of Acoustic Management on it.

Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.
