I was wondering if any of you guys would know of a place that sells small orange flashing beacons ?

i.e. that plugs into the cigarette lighter and has a magnetic base to mount on a car roof.

A mate of mine does car repairs and often tows broken down vehicles. I advised him to buy a beacon for safety when towing.

He's tried one 'factors but they only did a large beacon for a truck. Cost was ok at €42. But was told small one would be at least double the price ??!

......hmm, blue one could be handy ! :D

I've seen them in hardware shops.
e.g. Frank Clarks in Cork have them.

I have seen them and many other lights in the Massy Ferguson garage on the West side of Cork City, Killarney road. Reasonable prices also.

    However for specialty lamps, try,

    http://www.northerntooluk.com/

    or

    http://www.northerntool.com/

    or TruckLite.com
    or Peterson Manufacturing

    or JC Whitney.

All but the UK site are US based.
TruckLite and Peterson have EU outlets, Expensive, but great products.

There is another one UK based, Rubberlight or rupperlamp or rubber mount, or some such name. Google!.
