I'm basically looking for a labtop that will run not too slow, but It doesn't have to move ultra fast like. I haven't a clue where to start as I don't know anything about anything :P
I just want to be able to watch dvds, run my messenger systems, word, do college work, feck gaming, to travel with me when on holiday (don't care about the weight) what to get for it for anti virus system, browse the net and not worry about it loading for ten minutes till I get to see the page. WTF kind of memory ram whatever. I liked this one as it was cheap enough and to get the wireless router, ,but if it won't do, will you kindly *someone* point me in the right direction? :Dhttp://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=3163026&dept=3944&path=0%3A3944%3A3951%3A4070%3A106249
    Thanks and all that,
    neoB

Well as always.. how much are you willing to spend?
And obviously, you will get your laptop much cheaper in the US and there is way more different makes of laptop there...

Only problem with this machine is the max resolution:
    1024 x 768 resolution... I like mine at a small 1400 x 1050.
It's fairly thick too at 1.5"
But for your needs as you have described this would be fine. As long as you're not doin gaming/heavy graphics work/video editing etc.

I am not too worried on the costs and I am in the States ATM. I don't mind my screen being big. I just want something to feck around on with and look nice :)
