    I would have to say Iggy Pop, no contest for me!

    Also impressed by:

    * Henry Rollins
    * Andy Cairns
    * Wattie

    Tommy McLaughlin, a funkin nutcase at times. Tortured genius by the looks of it.

    If you're talking about the context of punk there can be only one: Johnny Rotten. Nobody else even comes close.

    Iggy Pop without a doubt, second but not sure if it's even close would be Kurt Cobain, Henry Rollins would be way up there too!!!

    I have only seen him live once, it was a PIL gig in County Kilburn in London. Although he is a legend and was entertaining, he does not have the energy / moves etc that Iggy has. The ability to bring the house down is rare!

    Just my opinion.

    Wattie is a total spa, along with his band. And Rotten is a charlatan. Joe Strummer all the way.

    Christ. It's a hard one. Probably between these three for me.

    Jello Biafa
    Joe Strummer
    Johnny Rotten

    Yeah I reckon Kurt was fairly punk, he always saw himself as a punk. Jim Osterberg was definately the man, ah peanutbutter and burger meat!!!!

    It'd be a toss up between Iggy Pop and Joey Ramone for me.

    Strummer
    Geldof (close second)

    Joey Ramone ? Please.

    I'd go Joey Ramone or Johnny Rotten

    Iggy Pop,
    Ramone,
    Rollins,
    HR (bad brains).

    Not necessarily in that order - they were just the first to spring to mind.

    Joe Strummer (The Clash)
    Micky Fitz (English band The Business)
    Henry Rollins (Black Flag)
    Jello Biafra (DK's)
