The blue screen of death eh? tis the arch nemesis of the deskside support person....

Things you can do (in the sequence listed):

    - Try to revert to last known good configuration
    - Reinstall WINXP
    - Replace Hard Drive

    or read this http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1647

Can you give insight as to what the BSoD message was?

Unfortuntally its not possible to get the error from that picture as we missing top left part where it tells you the hex stop message number.
Usually blue screens of deaths are associated with Hardware problems.
    Driver Problem (Dodgy Driver), Conflicts
Bad Memory Sector. May happen only if you fall into this sector.

Those are the main reasons. take not of the code next time get back to use if you see the message again

There really smart answer - Standard lets re install windows guru

Or you can debug it to get more info - Download a debugger analyze minidump.

    Run !analyze -v
And Lm tn for modules loaded at time

Do you have all of Mp3 explorer installed? That was causing my computer to bluescreen on shut down for some reason. I uninstalled it and all was well.

At the time of posting I had little or no info on the problem, The One didn't provide a good description of the problem.
I did however post a link with loads of info on BSOD's, so in future why don't you keep your silly comments to yourself....

smtcpmon.sys (named on the screen) has about 59 hits in google ..

Have you set it to reboot automatically and just the 64KB dump so you restart sooner ?
