    Need some help here...I have a bet on with someone....during the mid 80's when you went down the stairs which way did you turn to go to the Biker's area and which side to the Trendy area ie: Wheels.??????????????????????

    afaik its been the same since ive been drinkin' (1987-ish)& thats (as you get to the bottom of the stairs)rockers bar is left & trendyside is right.
    however you might be consfused by the turn in the stairs because if you stand on the street outside & face the pub you'll see that the rocker bar is downstairs on the right hand side of the pub & the trendy side is left.
    theyve moved the bars & toilets around over the years but the basic layout has been the same .
    havent been in there in ages having said that.....

    Yep, you turned left for the rocker's bar and right for Wheels!

    You turned left for the virgins (sorry I mean Rockers) bar and right for the 80's area.

    Also are you saying it was actually even like that in the 80's? I was too young to be in there in the 80's but I remember it still having that faux-80's style to it as recently as 1998 so I thought it was just some new 'retro' area?
