Well considering creationists reckon the earth is only 10,000 years old I guess they do.. if they actually believed the results.

Grandpa Simpson: Well we noticed a few things about Malloy that tipped us off that he was the cat burglar. He always dissapeared, and he wore sneakers! for sneak-ing!.... he also has the worlds largest cubic zirconia on his coffee table.

Having the oldest would be a nice match

Are the basalts up in Antrim the oldest Irish rocks ?

Ah but, in these cases, isn't it that God just put a 4,990,000 year old bit of rock on the earth when he created it 10,000 years ago?

Fantastic idea.. God creates the world complete with fossils, asteroid impacts, glaciers... "That will hold those *egg heads* for a while!"..

    God is sooooo clever

They are some basalts up in Antrim.

The dolerites up there may be younger, but they are Irish too.

WohHOHOHOHO! WHOA there, sonny jim. That's a whole discussion for a whole other board. On this board, Antrim is in Ireland.

Go take a long walk on a short pier you d*ckhead.

Back on topic, I'm pretty sure that the south/ south-east coast of Ireland has the oldest rocks. basalt is relatively young...metamorphic rock is where the real age is...
