Hey, Is there anyone out there interested in taking up wakeboarding?

I started it last year and am addicted, can't wait for this years season to start.

I currently have a boat but I am hoping to upgrade to a more powerfull boat (300 horse).

Is there anyone interested? It isn't cheap to get started but once you start all you pay for is fuel, its well addicitve though.

Yeah I tried it last summer. Feckin fantastic. Would deffinitely reccommend anyone trying it. Theres a few lakes that have the pull system around if you dont have access to a boat

Wher are there rope pulls in Ireland?
I heard of a dude near newbridge that built a lake on his farm to wakeboard on! A mate of mine in the UK had a boat for a while and I've had a few days boarding over there , would love to try it again. It is costly in fuel though and the top boats (mastercraft and aquanautique) cost a heap. Do some searching on the web there is comps and a bit of a scene in Ireland.

Do you not mean Lough Ree?! Used to go there quite alot over by Coosan - can be quite calm. I'm based in Dublin though try and get down to Terryglass / Portumna as much as I can. Always calm down there!!

A buddy is starting a wakeboard school in Cork soon if anyone is interested in trying it out. He has all the best gear, a Mastercraft boat, boards and wetties, and years of experience. I'll post more details soon.

you're better off trying out a few different boards to find the right size and spec for you before buying, then maybe about 300.

Try here for a list of all the clubs around the country.

Watermark would probably be closest to you.

Check out extremewipeout.com, it's an Irish wakeboard site, the guy there will help you in any way they can.

Check out this clip of some of the action at Wakejam - Lough Erne in Enniskillen last weekend.
