    Hi,

I forget if there is an official way of doing this, but I have a method that works assuming your time and date was correct at the time of installation...

Bring up a folder listing of C: using either Windows Explorer or My Computer. Right click on the Windows folder. Check it's date. That should be when you last installed. It's correct for me anyway ;)

    Hi,

I did a bit more digging and found ...

    1. Select Run from the Start Menu.
    2. Type 'cmd' and press OK
    3. At the command line prompt type 'systeminfo'

    Look for "Original Install Date"...

Does that only work with XP or whats the story?ryin that here on the college pc's in DKIT with windows 2000 -

    C:\>systeminfo
'systeminfo' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.

    Hi,

You could either use the folder method I described above (Windows 2000 is normally located in C:\WINNT) or ...

    http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/guide/sas_fsd_ngep.mspx

(copy and paste the script on that page)
