yep as the title suggests im looking to replace my mobo, my mobo presently is in perfect condition but im looking to get more overclocking options out of it and i cant. I bought it when the first nForce4 Ultra boards came out and im only getting around 2.4 / 2.5 outa my chip. I know theres more in my chip so im looking for another board with the same chipset but with more options.

    Iv the,

    DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D

    Abit AN8 Fatal1ty nForce4 Ultra (too expensive)

and errr thats it. Im stumped. Is there any more? iv probably missed some.

Well here it is again, a nForce4 Ultra mobo with very good overclocking options. Boards from asus, abit, msi (maybe, not sure of them tbh) etc.

    Cheers :)

I had the DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D and I found this to be a great overclocker once the BIOS got flashed the HTT went over 300MHz.
I have the AN8 also at the minute and currently overclocking that and I am at HTT 260MHz at the minute.
My chip doesn't overclock to well tho, I only get 2.4 out of it.

    Go with dfi..
So many bios options for tweaking the board/cpu/ram etc.
I only messed with oc'ing once, HTT 250 windows stable and got close to windows stable at HTT 280 no probs.
Also they have a great forum www.dfi-street.com

The dfi is getting some good reviews i must say but is there any others?

The AN8 I have is only 133 from Komplett which is bad. The DFI has more BIOS options tho. My Ulta -D did HTT320

Anyone know where I could procure a DFI LanParty NF4-SLI Ultra DR for a reasonable price?

@ BabyEater, where did u pick up your dfi board? Iv looked around and the uk is the best option but sterling is a stinker. Id be paying around 195- 200 nearly for the board shipped. i could buy the website for that.

where can i pick one up cheaper? No american sites ship to ireland either.

unless someone knows of one?

I bought my DFI Ultra D from overclock.co.uk for 105 pound Sterling so thats about 155 euro.
You can also try here as they are a DFI supplier to Ireland.

I'll email them for a quote later this week.
Their price on 3500 Winnies (~230) seems to be ok :)

When are Venice cores expected in stores?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 695 ✭✭✭BabyEater

DirtyHarry: You will have to email or ring they as they have the worst site ever.
SyxPak: Elare are expecting Venice on the 18th so I would expect it everywhere in a couple of weeks. I heard that AMD are releasing a San Diego at 3500+ so that could be a good chip to go for if it has the 1Meg of cache.

The price of 230 for a 3500 I don't think includes VAT so it ends up at about 278 which isn't too bad.

Same, if not dearer than Komplett so.

That German eBay store doesn't seem to list the DFI SLI-DR board.
