Traced a couple of photos in Flash, and quite liked the results, althoug they need some polishing still.
I want to put them up on a website alongside images I drew freehand or traced from my own sketches.
How should I refer to the ones traced from photos? is there a specific word for graphics prioduced i n that way? Or will I just say "I traced these ones from photos"? Inelegant but pertinent I suppose.
Would i be right in thinking that there are a lot of graphics produced in this way, without the authors mentioning it? While tracing the pics I thought of more and more images I'd seen that were probably traced. How is this practice perceived? Is it considered plagiarism? (or whatever the equivalent term is if plagiarism only refers to literary works)
