    Hi,
I'm looking for a way to automated way to detect what printers are installed on a Windows machine so that the drivers can be updated to newer versions if need be.

Anyone know of an easy method of detection ?

    Tnx.

    Hi,

I don't know what your preffered language is, but here is a VB example of getting all the printer info you need.

    http://www.mvps.org/vbnet/code/enums/enumprinters.htm

Tis very easy to follow. Also when software is targetted at a windows platform I tend to go for the easy option and use VB.

But I'm still not your friend Kealan wink.gif

I think this may be what I'm looking for alright. VB is fine too.

    Thanks.

Instant Karma to you, just add hot water and leave to settle for 2 mins.
