I too saw a few in NZ last year.
I recall driving behind one (mid-80's model) for quite a while and thinking that it (slightly) reminds me of an Opel Manta from behind.

I reckon I have seen one or two for sale over the years on the Buy & Sell ?!

Class car - there's a couple of dudes over on Octane.ie with RX7s and a lot of knowledge of rotaries generally.

I have an RX-3 coupe, but I seriously wouldn't part with it for less than £5,000 because they are extremely hard to find in good condition.

Funny I was just reading about Dr. Felix Wankel at the weekend and they mentioned the Mazda Cosmos ! (I wonder did the spell checker allow that name)

    Interesting cars !

The good doctor put in a 4 rotor engine into a new 1972 350SL for himself, apparantly a very fast car, though he was always driven by someone else as he never had a licence !!

I must look under the hood of my '72 350SL and see if that really is a V8 or if I've somehow got hold of the good doctor's rotary powered version.
On second thought's my car actually goes - without a whole lot of regular mechanical input - so I reckon its unlikely to be rotary given their reliability record.
I hope he also did some work on the brakes - as I wouldn't like to be trying to stop a W107 SL going any faster than the V8 power allows! Its not called a Panzerwagon for nothing!
