damn you photobucket! Seriously though, where did you get the picks from? I can't imagine anything reputable coming out until E3... that's when Microsoft will announce their takeover of Nintendo... :D (you see the subliminal hint they made? Nintendo Revolution, xbox 360... It's gotta be true!!!)

    That looks foul.

Imagine the crud from dozens of grubby, sticky hands all over a white controller.

    NEXT!

defo not real. sure it hasnt even got XBOX written on it. looks more like someone just modded one of them 3rd party controllers.

It's a mock up, it's not even using the same material. But that's the shape and button layout.

if that IS wat the XBOX 360 controller will look like then why would they bring it out with 2 less buttons than the original controller?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Is that a trackball where the Xbox logo was previously? Might explain the '360' monicker.

nah i think its just a prototype so no logo was put on it. i'd imagine the logo will be there in the final version. still dont know why they'd put less buttons on it though.

do you mean the black and white buttons? If so, they're now shoulder buttons, look at the picture of the back of the controller, you can see the triggers and buttons behind them too.

ye but wat abobut the original shoulder buttons?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,894 ✭✭✭evad_lhorg

there was no original shoulder buttons. just two triggers. now look at the picture of the new pad from the back again. now you can see TWO triggers and look closely behind them and you can see TWO shoulder buttons.

so its sorta like the Playstation controller with L1, L2, R1 & R2?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,894 ✭✭✭evad_lhorg

not really cause the triggers are a lot more suited than the r1 and r2 buttons. so you ave a buttons and a trigger. can you not see it or somethin?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,987 ✭✭✭✭zAbbo

aye it looks good, yeah check out the 2 shoulder buttons, and the two larger triggers below.

The normal xbox controller owns, and this is shaping up to be even better.

Both the Xbox and PS2 controllers have the same amount of buttons, and apparently so will the new controller, looks interesting. I presume that 'port' on the bottom is for recharging the big chunky battery.

    wither that or a headset

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 467 ✭✭Clank

Ah they better make the headsets wireless.Even bluetooth enable the controllers so anbody can use a headset with it.

I was thinking about that myself, but I'd say that would be damn costly.
I would like to see some kind of wirelessness thoug, and if the port at the bottom is for charging (which makes sense) then they may well be..

I'm glad there is proper shoulder buttons. Playing street fighter or pro evo was a pain on the the controller s and not much better on the original pad

Itd be costly but it would be worth it, even a more expensive one, think of the money MS will lose from not selling headsets though, god damn it!

I know for a fact I saw a dongle that you could put in the headphone port and pair it with your headset but I could never find it again to buy it, so its possible.
