linux n00b in need of help

    right so im in a spot of trouble with my webhost
    he gave me ssh to install a game server but it wouldnt run and started a process called dialog that takes up 99%cpu and it says i started the process and it wont kill
    the machine is running fedora and i use it via putty

    Try:
    kill -9 pid
    where pid is the process id number that you want to kill

    you can get this by doing a
    ps aux|grep processname

    where processname is the name of the process you are looking for

    im a total n00b so i dont under stand that at all

    can you use realvnc?
    or msn remote assistance

    Maybe you should contact your provider and get them to fix it for you.
