Reinstalled windows the other day and now my windows harddisk is the "D" drive.
How do i get it back to being "C" drive?
I tried changing the drive letter in administrative tools but it wasnt possible.

Out of curiosity do you now have a boot menu when you start you PC
It allows you to select between two copies of 2000 or XP?

normally it should put C automatically
there must be something else that occupies this drive letter and you don't see it when you boot up, there another hdd not plugged or wut not

    I have 2 hd's, 1 for data 1 for windows.
Reinstalled windows as normal, wipe the windows hd and then install on it.
Both drives where connected at the time and when i got into windows the drives where not how i wanted them :(
There isnt a menu for 2 os's when i boot.
I'm guessing the boot sector is on the data drive and not the windows one.
I was going to format that drive but im not sure should i just incase i wipe the boot sector

Pull out the Data Drive for safty and reformat. Plug back in afterwards making sure it jumpered to Slave and then that drive should appear as D and have your system on C. I don't think its possible to change the drive letter of the OS after it's installed as everythings pointing to D:\...

Not a chance of formating and then doing a new install (if thats what you mean) done that 1 tomany times now.
No jumpers either as its 2 sata drives.

The drive is probally being hidden for a reason - your best bet is to install partition magic to see what it sees.
