Thunderbird - outbox like Outlook express?

I'm using Thunderbird for my email (portable, which may cause problems with extensions but suggest away and I'll try them....)


In Outlook Express (and others no doubt) you have the option of your email going to your outbox when you click send. It then sends during send/recieve every 10 mins (or whatever time you've set).

From what I can see Thunbird only has the option to Send Immediatly, other then it's offline feature which never seems to work right for me.

Anyone know of a way this can be done or an extension which enables this? (one that does it proper if possible rather then a midway solution)

I did find this http://extensionroom.mozdev.org/more-info/outbox but it does NOT do what I want.

This extension allows me to save them to drafts but it means I have to manually send them later, while I want to add them to a queue basically...
