I have the following usage for April:
April Summary for <username>
At your current rate of usage you are likely
to go over your download limit in 16 days
Logins	42
Offpeak Traffic	8098 minutes
Peak Traffic	3600 minutes
Data uploaded	2.52 GB [2704252918 bytes]
Data downloaded	5.62 GB [6030400772 bytes]

And the following total usage:
This is a summary of all traffic since you first logged in
First Login	Tue Mar 29 17:23:42 2005
Last Login	Fri Apr 8 22:06:04 2005
Last Login Duration	281 minutes
Logins	62
Offpeak Traffic	10107 minutes
Peak Traffic	4830 minutes
Data uploaded	3.61 GB [3876475027 bytes]
Data downloaded	7.81 GB [8386032851 bytes]

So from what I can tell it's calculated on a calendar month basis. Is that correct?

Calculated on a calendar month...yes.

But they spill from one month to the next.
In other words if you download something large on the second and last day of a month...there is a very real chance that it wont get calculated until the start of the next month giving you an instant download of mabye 1GB without even downloading anything in the new month.

I think UTV wipes the slate clean and gives a fresh month to work from.

A better question to be asking is how the warnings are given out??

1.
Day by day.....if you downloaded 1GB the day before...you exceed the 500MB limit for the 16GB a month package

or

2.
An average/mean system...ie.
7th day of the month with 3GB downloaded...gives average of less than 500MB a day...so no warning.

Any views on this?????

Thanks!

Well, I wasn't getting any warnings in March even though I downloaded almost 3 GB in around 3 days. So I'm pretty sure it's the latter, i.e., an average/mean system.

I wasnt given any warnings in march either...even though I went a bit wild downloading 1GB a day for the last week.

Got my first warning on the 2nd/3rd though when the download stats of the final days in March spilled over into April.

I currently have:
At your current rate of usage you are likely
to go over your download limit in 17 days
Logins	10
Offpeak Traffic	7230 minutes
Peak Traffic	3492 minutes
Data uploaded	0.90 GB [970871398 bytes]
Data downloaded	5.35 GB [5739203601 bytes]

About 1.5GB of 5.35GB is from the end of March.
Those stats represent by usage up until yesterday at 15:00.
