Inter-railing in Italy

    Giving serious consideration to interrailing in Italy/Greece/Slovenia in July/August...any of you folks done it?
    Im trying to budget for it at the moment, how much would it cost for a month inclusives of flights and the tic?
    Can it be done for 2,500?
    Also, Im considering doing it by myself...How riskey is this?
    Quite simply my mates are heading back to the states but ive done the j1, so what you folks reckon...a month on my own.
    How lonesome am I likely to be!..Do you really meet as many people as they make out?

    I hear you come across good people quite easily who'd be happy to have you tag along with them. Im goin for the month of July.
    2500 is what im hoping to save as well. Heres my breakdown.
    Interrail ticket: 400
    Accomodation: ~450
    Plane tickets: ~150
    Spending(Food, Drink, Stuff...): 1000

    I don't think I'd go on my own though, id want at least 1 other person but thats just how I feel.

    me & some friends r prob doing zones D&G in early august, but an exact route is as of yet unknown. was hoping to get by sleepin on overnight trains, hostels and 5-star slovakian hotels(!!).
    Basic idea for a route:
    Prague, Krakow, Bratislava, Budapest, Ljubljana, Split, Dubrovnik, Rome, Florence, Venice etc. and also maybe even Greece, Turkey, Bosnia etc!!
    obviously its still in the planning stage!!

    anyone done something similar recently and have any suggestions?
