    ***From Hotpress.ie***

Fans of anthemic rock and/or men in 'workingman's' clothes will welcome the return of The Boss to our shores next month.

The May 24 gig at Dublin's Point Theatre will be a stop on Springsteen's stadium and arena tour of the US and Europe. His nineteenth album Devil's & Dust is to be released on April 26 .

Bruce will leave the E Street Band at home by the New Jersey Shore and tour solo for the first time since '97.

Tickets priced from €70 to €85 will go on sale from Ticketmaster and all the usual outlets nationwide next Thursday, April 14.

    Is this promoted by MCD?

There wont be much "Anthemic Rock" at the gig though, its sans E-Street band and will be mainly acoustic to promote his new "Devils and Dust" album, very Ghost of Tom Joad in styling apparantly.

Should be great though, went to the Rising tour in Paris, Barcelona and Dublin and it was very much large stadium rock and all the better for it but I prefer Springsteen on his own with an acoustic.

Getting expensive to see all these "good but old" musicans.

Where did you get the prices from? Any idea if its going to be all seated as well? I'd imagine it will be.

just off the phone to a lady in Ticketmaster, they expect the tickets to sell out in 2-3 mins!!!!!
Retail outlets will only get to print about 20-30 tickets in that time, so if its a 4 per person jobie, id say only the firrst handful of people in any queue will be guaranteed to secure them
