Red Hat 9 & Gigabyte motherboards

    We have a few red hat 9 servers that went out with gigabyte motherboards. Weve got multitech dialback modems plugged into the serial ports on the boards but cant seem to connect to the servers when we dial into them. modem to modem connection is fine, the remote modem just wont talk to the server. Just wondering if anyone here has ever experienced a problem with the serial ports on gigabyte motherboards when running linux. Cheers

    Nope. GA-71XE4 with RedHat was my main non-BeOS box for ages, 7.2 through to 9. Used a Hayes Accura V90 (firmware upgraded from something older, 1997 or so vintage) for years on the boards solitary serial port.
