Hi I just received This PSU from komplett.
This has a dial on it which I haven't seen before currently set at minus.
Can anyone tell me what this dial is for? Do I have to adjust it or just leave it as it is. thanks

Some PSU's have a knob that you can use to speed up/turn down the fan speed. But the pic on komplett doesn't show it on that model.

    Any pics?

Sorry the komplett pic isn't the exact one.
    This is a better one

Jammer: it's not the on switch, but thanks

Wizzard: The only thing I could think of was an adjustment for the fan you're probably right. If so I am free to play around with it just wasn't sure. thanks

Looks like a fan adjust knob

i reckon you should turn on the PSU.
    twist the knob.
    stand well back.

if the fan speeds up i'd say Wizzard is on to something.

don't forget to stand well back. there's nothing worse than a hot capacitor in the eye.

wouldn't it be great fun if it would be an analog Dial for the voltage control, LOL

it's for adjusting the fan speed by the way

goole the company and you will eventually get ot the company who makes them and it explains it

it is fan adjustment i have the psu, its dodgy though, its not like faster and slower, in the middle it runs slowest if u move it different ways it varies a lot, its not consistent, on my psu anyway

I have it installed now and running smoothly.
    @wizzard spot on
@quarryman turning on a new build for the first time gives me the jitters
@gilgamesh couldn't find the info on their website
@gline Turning it has no effect until about halfway then it does start to increase speed as you turn. I wouldn't describe it as inconsistant though it behaves as you would expect from the halfway point onwards.

thanks guys, installing XP now (shame to ruin it after all my hard work!)
