I'd like to welcome my fellow hooker after her playing that most vital of positions on Tuesday.

We also have a new mod to keep the muppets in line.

Not in Women's Rugby Ruggie :) Most scrums are uncontested ...

Apparently I posess some of the vital skills required to be a good hooker i.e. I can quite easily stand in one in place for a given period of time. I think I just need more practice.

I did get some better cuts and bruises playing front row than I did playing wing.

    Well impressed!

We had a new girl playing for us on Tuesday and she came out with, "I brought a towel along, just in case I get dirty".

(I thought it was pretty funny)

She won an award for quote of the year.

I've been banned from boards 5 - a - side soccer tournaments for possibly putting a few members' chances of procreation at risk.

I like to think of it as a unique talent.

Ps:Congrads on the Modship, might bring some decorum to us thugs or just add to lack of it now your playing hooker.

getting back on topic, amz ya made a great hooker. was proud as punch to be standin beside ya in the scrum.

and amanda's "i brought a towel in case i get dirty" was just classic.

and big ups to women's rugby in dcu - most improved club in dcu 04/05!

    I don't worship Amz.

I just happen to be rather fond of the ground she walks on...

    anyway back on topic

welcome the front row Amz, i think u will find hooker is the most important position on the pitch. I must sympthise with u for the uncontested scrums, wait till u experience the real thing. Its a great feeling when you manage to win one against the head!

Oh yeah hows ur line out throwing?

to be provide something of an answer to what I'm interpreting as a reasonable question.

Scrums aren't contested presumably because like in underage rugby the is probably a large disparity between the women in terms of their strength. Amz for example is quite a small girl and I suspect wouldn't cope well if the pressure of a scrum was applied. It is probably in place to protect women and is used a means of restarting the game rather than as a contest.
