    The Longcut
    Voodoo Lounge, Dublin

The Longcut Announce Irish Tour April 2005

Plus Very Special Guests 'Dead Boys and Girls'

this Friday April 8th - Cork Cyprus Avenue

this Saturday April 9th - Dublin Voodoo Lounge

this Sunday April 10th - Belfast Auntie Annie's

From the same Deltasonic stable that brought you The Zutons and The Coral, THE LONGCUT make their Irish debut with a series of dates next week.

Just back after a storming show at South By South West in Texas

The Manchester three-piece kick off their Irish dates at Cyprus Avenue in Cork next Friday, April 8th.

The band will be previewing tracks from their forthcoming second EP (featuring 'A Quiet Life') and from their keenly anticipated debut album.

The Longcut's debut EP 'Transition' was released in November to rave reviews spending the best part of two months in the MTV 2/NME Top 10 Chart.

The video for 'Transition' opens things up by gleefully announcing to their assembled houseguests that they're on film. The Longcut then commence a house party in the classic student style; girls crying on the stairs, shoes used for ashtrays, sex simulated with Star Wars toys. You know the drill. Good song too.

The band kicked off 2005 with a stunning appearance at the Love From Manchester Tsunami event alongside Badly Drawn Boy (he's a fan), Elbow, I Am Kloot and the Durutti Column.

The hype says 'Mogwai meets The Liars'. Believe!

Tickets for The Voodoo Lounge are 10.00 Euro (including booking fee) and are on sale now from Road, Soundcellar, Ticketmaster and usual outlets nationwide.

Doors open at 8.00pm. Over 18's, ID Required.

For Cork and Belfast, please contact the venue for details.
