Place to eat on friday afternoon / early evening

OK, so this should maybe be in Food and Drink, but I figure more of the masses will see it here, and recount some of their experiences, recommendations and horror stories.

I have a simple question. Myself and about four other lads are meeting on Friday afternoon for a few drinks, and naturally we will want to get some food a bit later on, between about half five and half six. It is in Dublin City Centre, so somewhere central would be better. I have a few dislikes though. No fast food. No Italian (ie pasta / pizza). And none of that Tex-Mex stuff either.

Can anyone recommend a place for us to go, that is fairly inexpensive, but nice all the same. We will be meeting in Temple Bar for drinks around the four o'clock mark.

    Thanks to all that reply.

Epicurean food hall, casual eats, great variety, should be summat there for everyone and just a hop across the Ha'Penny Bridge.

K3 around the corner from Pravda, went in there after work last week with the missus, had medalions of beef on a bed of stirfry veg, side of chips and a pint. She had the same but a soft drink instead and it was Eur33 or so.

Fecking lovely it was , chef even came out to see if everything was ok.

The Mongolian BBQ is good fun.

It's an all you can eat buffet... You go up and fill your bowl with what ever meats and vegetables and spices you want, and then you bring it over to the cook and they fry it all right there in front of you. It's in Temple Bar, opposite Club M.

Also, for a good Indian, go to the Nagina Tandoori on George's Street. Which is a very good, very reasonably priced restaurant

    In temple bar - Farringtons

Nice bar, good food, good prices and it saves you leaving the bar, one of my personal favourite places to drink in town. Loads of Screens up stairs too if a match is on and its easy to get a drink.

Since your in temple bar anyways pop in have a pint see what the food looks like and then decide to stay or go.
