    Howdy!

Im getting my g/f ready again for this years mini marathon, but i'd love to run in it myself!
Is it cool for blokes to do it, and wear a wig or whatever?!

    cheers,

    Pádraig.

Yeah, I know a good few guys who do it each year. It's a bit of a laugh, particularly if you're raising money for a charity, or something.

    Best of luck with it!

AFAIK its Ok to run it as long as your running for charity and you don't get in the way of the serious runners. I don't think you'll get a finisher's medal either. I manned a water station one year. One of the funniest things I've done in athletics. All these hands reaching out for water, with the odd ugly hairy (Male!) one now and again!

Padraig, if you haven't chosen a charity yet, please support Fighting Blindness. We are a small Irish charity supporting Irish research into blindness as well as a counselling centre based in Dublin. We would really appreciate any support you could give us. We'll even give you a t-shirt to wear
Please email sinead.devlin@fightingblindness.ie to receive your sponsorship pack.
