Static ip on XP with USB netopia modem.

    Ok I have this done on my pc but cant remember how I did it .
    Just need a refresher.I need to assign a pc a static ip so I can open ports on a router for a "ahem" program.Cant for life remember how to do this.Is it this>

    Open network card properties->tcp>properties>>use following ip address.If so what do I put in the DNS.Is it automatically obtain dns server.

    You put in 2 DNS servers manually AFAIK.

    For esatBT i/p:

    192.111.39.1
    192.111.39.4

    Eircom have 2 as well and I think they can be found on their support/broadband site.
