Roscommon are near the bottom 10. We shouldn't be near 12th position

Looks more like something some drunk guy in a pub would come up with. Look at Dublin and Cork for example. Reverse them and it would look more realistic. Similarly how are Longford above Wexford (albeit only by one place)!

The hurling looks a little more realistic but Galway are probably too low and WEstmeath are definitely too high imo.

Well Dublin have reached an All Ireland semi-final in that time, whereas Cork have had very poor championships recently.

I know a lot of my posts seem anti-dublin but imo the media rate them far too highly. How does one semi-final appearance in 3 years put them 5th? How are they above Laois who have been the best team in Leinster over the last 3 years and above mayo who reached an all-ireland final!

I agree with what you are saying about the media and Dublin Imposter but you should bear in mind that Laois have only won one Leinster title in the same timeframe. I think alot of people overestimate Laois, who I think are a solid team but no better then that. I think Laois DDublin Westmeath and possibly Wexford are all on a par with each other. Very little in between any of those teams, and any of them are capable of winning Leinster this year. I would regard Offaly Kildare and Meath as having a chance but less likely to come out of this championship with any honours.

Westmeath are in their right place as regards hurling, imo... they've been regularly beating the teams ranked below them, and struggling against the teams ranked above them. Far too high in the football though, especially if you were to go on on current form.

Galway definately too low in both hurling and football.

How is it possible for Donegal to be 4th?.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,913 ✭✭✭Danno

In theory is would be harder for a Connacht team to make the top ranks because of so few games in their provience - 5 teams competing???

Hmmm. Makes Sense from that perspective I suppose. Can't really improve when you're playing London and NY in the province.
