Ok now i HAVE to buy a compaq/hewlett packard and have no other choice. One of those two.

What u recon is the best place to go? it HAS to be a retail store
I haven't been there yet but heard that PC world , Dixons and Currys have them.
Where do you think it would be cheaper or is it all the same price range

Ith HAS to be one of them?
Did you check their site maybe you can buy from there.
Pc World, dixons, curry's etc, give them a ring save you traveling only to find out they dont sell them.

PC World, Dixons and Currys are all owned by the Dixons group anyway so I doubt there'll be too much difference in price, if any... just go buy it and no coverplan and you'll be ok ;)

Small point but they're one company now. As far as I know everything is now branded HP or "HP compaq".

Buying directly from HP is much cheaper than the likes of PC World. I've bought PC's from them before and it's fine. If you want to buy more than one you can call their sales line and they'll get a local re-seller to call you (It was a company based up in the liberties...Hiberbnia computers possibly???).
