stops looading after start screen

    when I turn on my pc it loads up a blue screen that says hp, it tells me what type of processor I have and gives me three options. go to setup, go to boot options and another option which Im unable to remember but as I can only pick the option to go in to the bios the other two dont matter. so I get in to the bios , leave and the computer eventually loads . can anyone suggest a way of fixing my problem.

    Odd, i really don't have a clue what you mean here so you got to explain better but try resetting bios, loading defaults.

    what does it list if you goto boot up options ?
    what was the last thing you installed before it shut down ?

    have you tried a boot disk ?
    how old is the PC ?
    does it make clicking noises that it used not to ?

    I got my pc at the christmas just past.
    It has 512 ram, 320 gigs of hard disc space
    It doesnt make clicking noises.
    it has dvd rw lite and an option about a samsung drive which I am assumming is my main hard disk in the boot up options

    but since that day It has began to load up just 10 times slower so if you know how to make it quicker it would be much appreciated
