Place to stay in Prague

    I'm visiting Prague in August and would like to know where people have stayed.
    What the place was like, the cost and if you'd recommend it.

    Thank you in advance for your input.

    Are you backpacking or going for a short break?

    Nice Hotel and only a tram fare away from the city centre, which we never paid on. Main Square is expensive and the clock is a let down. Charles Bridge is nice but gets 'touristy' late in the day. The castle is good to see but its a steep climb up. We went to get cheap beer and found one place at 50c a pint That was outside the main square. Be careful about some restaurants charging for the bread and peanuts
