Monitor Problem

    Ok friend of mine wants to move his monitor from one PC to the other....its a Philips...havent a clue of model....disconnected from old PC and went to connect into new one and would work....check it out and one of the pins on the connection of the monitor is bend....tried to fix but no hope....will I try and break off and see if it will still work? if not is there any way to replace that cable?

    don't break the pin off! make sure it is perfectly straight. Check the others to make sure they're not slightly bent. Connectly the cable carefully trying to line up the bent pin first to make sure it goes in. If you break off a pin you will probably loose one of the colours being displayed to the screen.

    Damn was thinking so....spent about an hour last nite trying to straighten.....just the one bent.....can you swap those cables?
