    Hey,

Anyone else go along to this on Saturday night? I have to say, he was a lot funnier than I was expecting. I usually watch the Blizzard of Odd, and was (naievely) expecting something like that. Colin sitting in a chair slagging off Irish telly.. But no, it was a genuinely funny hour and a half of stand up..

I'd recommend him to a friend as a genuinely funny comedian.. worth seeing if you get the chance!

Yeah I saw him supporting Patrick Kielty a few years ago and although he claimed that he was the 33% extra that you get on ribena packs he was a lot better than Kielty turned out to be.

Crap, I'm sorry I missed that now. He's the only person I like on the panel.

I'll never forget the Giant Ladybird that spoke like Ronnie Drew:

    "I'll bleedin' kill ya's."

I was there on Saturday night aswell and I really enjoyed the show. I didn't know what to expect from Colin Murphy. I really liked him from the Panel but I wasn't sure how he would be like as a stand up. Well he did a bloody brilliant job! I laughed at pretty much all of his jokes. He has a great natural humorous personality but i still feel he has a little bit to go to top Tommy Tiernan. I thought his mick taking of that guy Declan I think his name was who was sitting in front row was brill. Tahnk God he didn't plan to take the piss out of the Pope after finding out he died during he show. If he did that his career would be gone. I liked his comeback gag about well lets hope Lance Armstrong doesn't die absolute genius.

What was the name of the warm up guy? I thought he was good for his short time on stage.

The warm up guy's name was also Colin something.. can't remember the surname.. sorry.
I agree about him taking the mick out of Declan. What I didn't laugh at was yer one's reaction when asked what she did for a living.. her reply, "I'm not telling you, I'm not as stupid as Declan!" - Rude bitch.

I didn't go but I've seen him do stand up before and he's absolutley fantastic. Far better than Tommy Tirenan who someone mentioned earlier because he's much better at thinking up completley random stuff on his feet and I love his style. Very underrated.

Gotta agree, he's much better than tommy tiernan.Seen Tommy a few weeks ago and was a great show but it was exactly that, all scripted. With Colin Murphy it was a lot more improv and basically a whole lot funnier.

So you enjoyed it then ;)

Where was everyone sitting..? I remember when I was waiting for the show to start, a thought popped into my head 'I wonder if there are any other boardsies here..'
I was up against the wall on the right hand side as you look to the stage. Seats weren't great but we could still see and hear thankfully!
