The GeForce 6600GT is looking pretty good, I don't see any Radeon 9800 Pro's with 256mb on the Komplett site, so I can't compare. If you were talking about this Graphics Card the Geforce is better than it. I had a look at the specs of the powercolor 9800pro retail Specs Here and it doesn't look anywhere nearly as good at the Geforce. I'd say go with the Geforce

    this compares a 9800xt with a 6600gt http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/video/display/geforce6600g-games_28.html

just substitute XT for pro (there's littel difference)

I'd say go with whichever is cheapest.

    Hi BoB_BoT,
But even though their both 128mb the 9800 pro is 256 bit.
Maybe this may impact on performance?

Iknow memory isnt everything i think the 128 bit would be lacking?
    Iam not really sure.

Anyone know diff in performance between 128 bit and 256bit?

    regards kieran

he he... funny enough i was going to ask a similar question, i take it that the GeForce 6600GT is a pci express card thats been ported to AGP somehow? I'm a bit bemused by Komplett sticking that "NB:this is a 128 bit card" on the description

i dont wanna but something that wont play with my poor agp 8x slot :(

Well the way it works (iirc) is the more bus speed the less processing time the card requires so in fact it could be better than the geforce, i didn't even take notice of the bus, i was just comparing the ramdac and clock speeds. i'm a bit out of date on gfx cards lately :P affraid i can't answer your question, soz.
