Was using Bitcomet to download a file and left the PC running overnight with the monitor turned off.

This morning went to turn it back on again and it clicked and then the on light started flashing but no picture ???

Did not re-boot as dont know if downloaded finished

Its a Sammton monitor but cannot find the manual

It is just a case of rebooting and hope for the best or is the monitored Fubard

    Ta

I'm assuming you tried moving the mouse?

your system sounds like it's in standby, what operating system are you using? if it's 2k, xp just try ctrl + alt + del. It may wake it up.

Is the hard disk activity light blinking? if so your download could still be going. Dont programs like bitcomet save the file so you can resume downloading later? you should lose nothing by restarting.

    Ha Ha

Moving the mouse very ingenius why did I not think of that.....

Cheers did not know Bitcommet could resume. Running on XP. The hard drive light is not blinking its on the monitor

If it was in standby thought it would come back on with the click of a mouse or by pressing one of the keys

Well if I loose the file I will scream as its bloody massive

    Thanks for the advice
