Looking for a new set of chips , kiddies seem to have eaten all my old ones.

But €129 in that Happy Days shop in Liffey Valley, ffs mine were €22 in US about 18 months ago and far better quality, in taste too seemingly.

Anyone know any decent similar priced chips?

These are the ones I bought recently. I prefer a lighter chip than 11.5g that don't slip all over the place and you can't beat this price for 500 - http://www.drinkstuff.com/products/product.asp?ID=1138&title=Home+Poker+Chip+Set

That's cheap, 61 Euro all in including postage!

This set also available on drinkstuff . . . great value for money compared to Special Days and other online sites . .

As I've said before, prices keep changing. The 129.00 price was a price we charged last Christmas, similarly drinkstuff.com charged approx £80 (€120.00)for the same set last Christmas.

Factories are dropping prices every couple of months and I always reflect this in the Special Days prices.

Currently (from Thursday when new shipment arrives in the stores) a set of 500 11.5g dice chips sell for 89.00 - in February this set was €109, at Christmas this set was €129 and last August it was €169 by next Christmas it may well be less than €70!

Thankfully the volume we sell allows us buy every 3 months, so we can adjust prices accordingly.

We may be a few euro more for some sets compared to drinkstuff but we're a few euro lower for others. And our tables are substantially lower - texas hold'em table with legs - our price €299 theirs = £249 (approx €375)

Its swings and roundabouts but expect prices to fall further in July and possibly again in October.

The latest prices will be updated on www.specialdays.ie by Thursday.

TK Max in Stephens Green Shopping Centre sometimes get in chip sets from the States at VERY reasonable prices. They also have a shop in Blanchardstown.
