Don't know what hte Aldi offer was but the other week they had perfectly good (I bought one) own Brand B&Q ones out in B&Q for €34.99 .... seems prefectly good for the price

    This is the one http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/product/product.jsp?CATID=8090033&entryFlag=false&PRODID=8080085

£27.98stg .. was def €34.99 in liffey valley a few weeks ago so seem to be getting a good xchange on this price (often B&Q seems to have more attractive £stg prices)

Thanks EvilDoctorK ,Thats a very low price in B&Q alright ,the one in aldi was a higher spec made by Karcher for €129 .You said you bought the model in B&Q ,have you tried it out yet ,is it decent .do you know if B&Q Ireland deliver as I live down in Galway .

I've no idea if B&Q deliver .. probably not but I'm not sure

The Power Washer they do seems fine to me ... I can't imagine what a €129 washer would do that this one wouldn't ... it has plenty of pressure to work with .. it's fine for cleaning paths etc. perfectly good for that.

The €129 probably has more pressure and maybe is better built .. but the B&Q one has more pressure than you need (it will strip paint if you want) ..... and at nearly €100 cheaper that's a big difference. Even if the build quality isn't as good as the Karcher one .. you could buy 4 of them for that price

think i saw one coming to lidl in about two weeks, There's one on the french website and that stuff usually comes our way two weeks later check out http://www.lidl.fr/fr/index.nsf/pages/c.o.oow.20050407.p.Nettoyeur_haute_pression
could it be a rebadged Karcher?

Viper that certainly looks a lot fancier than the one I got in B&Q and has more water throughput etc and a nice place to store the accessories. It looks similar to the Karcher ones alright so it would be a reasonable guess that it's related in some way.

However if you're only using it to occasionally clean the pavement outside I'd question whether it's worth an extra €100 ... depends on how demanding you are of your power washer I guess ;)

DO you need to large barrel of water to use these things or do you just connect it to a tap?

The petrol ones normally need a barrel - high throughput requirement etc..

The electric ones are normally fed with Tap + hose AFAIK.
