Printer prob because of sp2

I am running an epson Photo Stylus 915 which works perfectly on Xp-pro-sp1. IF I put the printer on the same machine (Dell inspiron-1000 laptop with same setup) but with sp1 I get no green tinge. Anyone else come across this problem
