why should they have too in all fairness they could look like big green monsters and people probably wouldn't care as long as they play good rugby.

society today has to get out of this rut it dug itself into about looks. rugby isn't about looks it's about skill and knowledge of the game

    The Samson legend.
Cut you hair & lose your power
it happened to James Topping. remember him; thought not; thats why.

    Why?

What has one's personal appearance got to do with their rugby playing abilities?

Could you explain why it's a disgrace and what exactly you think "a short back and sides and a shave" will achieve?

Do you actually have a clue about rugby or should this thread be moved to the F/Ap board?

Shane Byrne, now theres a guy with a sense of style.

ohh wait maybe the poster thinks that since they have a scruffy appearence that the opposing team may be able to grab hold of their beards/stubble etc. and be able to tackle them down.

    not

If it gets in their eyes to the extent that it affects their game play I think they'd have the cop on to do something about it.

I have longish hair and at times it gets annoying, but you learn to figure out a way of dealing with it so it doesn't interefere.

Maybe if they concentrated on their rugby more they'd do better.

you know what you are absolutely right.....if they hadn't wasted all that training time making sure they looked scruffy, they would have beaten Leicester.

Jesus, why didn't that occur to me.... :o

i'm convinced that if Shane Byrne cut the mullet, he would lose his hooking powers. or die. or just not have long hair.

    whatever.

hey crash, apologies for not being able to talk to you....had that hyperactive french man bending my ear all day :D Hope you enjoyed the game anyway

hehehe he did seem quite hyperactive - cheers for sorting the tickets out btw - and cheers to justin as well :)

ah yeah was good fun - was worth seeing it - even if the leinster crowd do irritate me a tiny bit :D

Aye but i don't consider them the leinster crowd....just a bunch of ****ers who get their hands on tickets and come along. At least the leinster branch/irfu get their ****ing money outta them

Think there is a hardcore support of about 100-500 who actually sing and chant with another 2000ish who support the team regularly but are a bit more reserved....

where we were there was myself, my brother, some 16 or 17yr old girl and an old fella shouting for the entire match - everyone else dead quiet :D though there were a lot of tigers fans around us so :D good fun though :)

But surely thats what they're doing - concentrating on rugby instead of wasting time going off and getting haircuts and shaving and stuff. They obviously don't have time to shave in the mornings, thats how busy they are....
Now Beckham - there's a man who obviously spends more time in the beautician than on the training pitch.... :)

I have decided that I'm going to drink before the matches from now on. This way I won't feel like as much of a twat singing by myself.

Of course I won't be able to sit with my work crowd to do this,
