I'm trying to host a game of Civ 3, and i can get through host setup, however my friend can't see any server i start. We can both see other peoples games. He has eircom broadband as well...

I've heard in passing that there's something inherent in the netopia cayman 3300 that's stopping the game from appearing.

    can anybody help?

i've found a way to set up pinholes on my router, but frankly i'm a little out of my league, does anybody know of a comprehensive website that deals with such things as port forwarding?

I have a list of ports i need, but i don't know whether they're TCP/UDP, and the router wants IP addresses for the functions and inbound/outbound ports... and i'm drowning not waving...

    thanks if you can help

I wrote this tutorial for the Zyxel Prestige router that Esat send out ... and it's written with Unreal Tournament 2004 in mind.
If you can manage to modify it to suit your needs - then I'm glad I could help.

    If not, sorry :)
