What is your favourite live DVD (or even VHS). A DVD that you consider to be a fantastic preformace by the band and also has some nifty extras ie. band interviews, easter eggs... Has great sound, quality picture, camera angles, etc.

Something you watch again and again and you'd recommend.

Hmm... Death - Live In LA is an awesome DVD that gets regular viewings by me, and the latest Dream Theater, Live At Budokan was also quite awesome. Opeth's Lamentations was also excellent, as was the Emperor DVD, Emperial Live Ceremony.

I have to say I'm quite partial to HIM - Live at Semifinal, it comes with the And Love Said No CD

Therapy - Socophobia. I generally don't like live DVDs, etc, but it's a really superb DVD.

RATM - Live At Los Angeles Forum - last concert together, very good concert. Amazing energy, Tom Morello is good as ever and the video for How i Could Just Kill A Man is great.

AC/DC - Donnington - All the hits, great crowd, great band. very good!

Iron Maiden - Rock In Rio - Great Concert. Just great. Go and buy.

Anyone got Imaginations Through The Looking Glass DVD by Blind Guardian, or One Crimson Night DVD by Hammerfall? Anygood?

I'd say either Gong's most recent DVD or Carcass live in London off the "Wake Up and Smell the Carcass" DVD

Pearl Jam "Live at the Garden" is unbelievable, mainly for the setlist itself and quality extras. Touring Band 2000 is savage aswell, the way the songs are put together from different shows.

The Who at the Isle of Wight is one of the greatest also.

I only have one.... Linkin Park's Live In Texas.
I always watch it and I think it's great. If you like Linkin Park you'll probably love this.. Oh also Lars Ulrich comes out during one of their songs dressed in a pink hat and wearing big green Hulk gloves and begins to punch Chester while he sings. It's funny

    That crazy little man.

Anyway, LP are not a very convincing 'live' act. Too many samples, and incompetent musicians. I've nothing against LP but live, hhmmm...

Though I'm sure there's plenty of extras on the DVD to compensate.

I love Overture 1928 and Home but the reciting of poetry is extremly self-indulgent and pretentious.
