    Hi.

I need people to look at this image. Click

Is it obvious what it says or did it take you a while to read the text? If it did take a bit of time, how long did it take? Or could you read it at all?

    Thanks!

    tcal, straight away

It says TCAL but wasn't obvious straight away... the L is pretty tough to decipher. Could be mistaken for an A with a long base.

Yeah, the L's hard to see straight away

I could read it easily but I think it's because I'm familiar with the shape from your sig.

yeh i thought of removing the sig for the duration of this thread.

but thanks all, you've given me enough info.

seems to be pretty clear that someone looking at that without any prior knowledge of the logo/website/whatever wouldn't be able to decipher it straight away. which means that, all though i like the logo, if it's not perfect, then it's back to the drawing board.

    cheers.

I echo the tca opinion. L needs to be more defined somehow

I got it, but the logo in your sig (and at tcal.net) is better me thinks.

Could read it straight away and I hadn't noticed your sig. It probably would be difficult for a lot of people to read though.

hehe would have been better with a red (stereotypical) L plate but doesnt make it any less funny

just changing the background will make it much easier to read

Spending so much time (5 seconds) working out the "L", I ended up believing it was TOAL.

I dind't see the "l" at all, was wwondering if the "c" was actualy a "c" or an "o"

thanks for the advice guys...i get it...it doesn't work! :)

I'll be working on a re-working of it soon...but the present logo is fine and i'm not so sure i want to change the branding anymore anyway.

    but we'll see.

'L'? What 'L'? It needs a redesign, i didn't notice the L at all til i read the rest of the thread :p

I only saw TCA as well. You need to define the edges, white on white doesn't work. I don't know how it would look on a different colour background.

love the design myself and if you can keep the current colour and style it would rule . maybe if you try tba's idea as it defines the a and l better

anyway thats all i have to say goodluck
