Anyone know where you can get a trade in on a laptop? I'd like to change my Sony desktop replacement for something less powerful, but that has a much longer battery life.

Anywhere that took a laptop as a trade in would most likley charge over the odds for a new laptop anyway.

It's not worth them doing it unless they can make money on it so you'd probably be best to sell the old one and then buy a new one.

You could ask them how much a laptop of similar spec would be to BUY second hand. Then you could ask how much they would give for yours just to see..

It's not like cars where there is a decent margin to haggle with..

Ah well. I guess it will be the buy and sell so...
