Using Laptop as Desktop

Question...

I saw this gadget in America on a recent trip that turned your laptop into a desktop type pc.

Not sure what the exact name of it is. It's not really a docking station. It was more of a stand that brought the screen up to a proper level to stop you looking down all the time.

I've checked Maplin, Peats and Komplett for somthing like it and cant find one. Anyone have any ideas where I might pick one up.

No worries sometimes we all overlook the obvious.

Dell do a docking station that clips into the Dell monitor stand. I installed a lot of them on a contract once. Many people got two stands and docking stations, so they never need to connect any cables at either work or at home and could use a full sized monitor, keyboard and mouse at both locations.

Some people didn't use the stand. Opting to put the docking station along side the full size monitor and keyboard. This meant the could use the monitor and the laptop screen side by dies in dual screen config. That worked best in my opinion.

All you needed to do at either end is plug the laptop into the docking stations. No messing about with cables or pulling them in or out of the bag either.
