Converting WMV to DVD

Trying to prepare a mates films for his portfolio for college - he has anumber of short films in WMV format which we want to convert to DVD for his submission.

We also need to convert DVD to WMV, as we need to copy one DVD original he amde back to WMV to then put all his source files onto one DVD (hope this makes sense!).

All the free downloads available seem to either watermark the output file, or limit the time/size of how much of the source file you can covert.

Can anyone suggest good FREE software (time limited trial is fine) to convert WMV files to DVD?

After that, any suggestions on the same for DVD authoring software?

    Thanks for any help.

    B

VSO divx to dvd claims to convert .wmv to dvd format. You can then use Nero (free trial on their site) or something to burn it.
I've heard people having mixed success with this program, but worth a try :)

    (this version is free)

The Roxio DVD Software Does It. I've made a complete jackass movie out of wmvs. Worked sweet

The best prog I have used for doing what you require is:
    WinAvi Video Converter
http://www.winavi.com/video-converter.htm
Use that to create DVD MPEG2 files then use a Burner...Nero is the best IMHO and create a DVD with a little menu.

    Nice and simple.

or go for here more info, guides etc etc.
