Pace SKY+ Box problems

Some advice please from the Sky+ experts:
I have Pace Model 3.024 Sky+ box for two months now and generally think its great.

However, I have a number of problems with it:
1. Frequently, recorded programs list as "Part Recorded, loss of signal"
2. During playback of recorded programs, I regularly get a freeze or skipping or distorted picture lasting about a second or so.
3. The box has completely frozen twice during recording, requiring power cycle to get it back. On each occasion, it has lost the Sky+ features (instant record etc.) and Signal Test shows no lock on Input 2. Each time a further power cycle (or two or three) has brought it back to normal operation.

In the Signal Test, both inputs show signal quality about 80% across.
I/P 1 Signal Strength is about 80% across, i/p 2 is about 65-70%

Is this normal for these boxes?
Should I insist that Sky replace the box?
Should input 2 signal strength be significantly worse than i/p 1 ? Is this down to poor installation?

This is all quiet normal. They are a terrible product. you have one very sick box. just call up the installer to replace it. Today I called to a guy in Edenderry to replace his sky + box for the 16th time!!!

my box was grand untill last october when everything just went pearshaped. But now i seem to have 1 problem a week where just recorded programmes freeze in the first 5 mins.
1 tip i heard to reduce problems is to put instant rewind at 15mins because if its generally at 60 there are more problems.
